After finishing school in Dresden, I was planning to become a Physics laboratory technician, when I was offered to join the class of trainees in Biology, which I accepted. This was the best turning event of my life!
I have a broad set of skills that I have developed during my experience across different labs. I worked with Drosophila melanogaster, mouse embryos, as well as cell culture lines and term placenta samples. When Claudia joined the Max Planck Institute in Dresden, I knew I wanted to join her lab to dig deeper into placenta development. I am so happy to have the chance to help this lab to make amazing discoveries.
I am also a photography and cartoon nerd: I love to help others to visualize science. That’s why I want to be Claudia’s right hand not only for lab organization and team building, but also for figure illustration.
I like to spend my free time with my family. Also, I love playing music with my friends from the marching-band where I am the music director since 2022.
